Applying coaching lessons

Befor I started using AI, the discussions with my coaches often felt a bit disconnected from my work. Yes, I thought about our discussions, but making actual connections and implementing some of the feedback felt like a slow process and a heavy lift. I recently started using Claude for that, and it’s resulting in being able to approach things differently near instantly.

I’m lucky to work with several coaches. My current individual coach, Natalie, is the person that I chat through the challenges that come my way at work. And Neil and Tracy are group coaches we rely on as an executive support team.

Claude helps me prep my meetings, but also debrief on them afterwards. This way, I can build a very cohesive system of support around the coaching for myself.

For example, yesterday morning, I met with Natalie. We discussed several things, but one of the parts I definitely took away was that I need to lean in more into asking questions. A few hours later, I had a meeting with my peers, a call that Neil and Tracy are part of. I had asked my Claude assistant to prep that call for me, and in the prep, it read something like “try to lean into asking questions.”

When Claude processed the meeting afterwards, it pointed out a few cases where I did lean into asking questions, analysed those moments, and also showed how Neil picked up on that during the call.

With Claude, I can start approaching learnings from coaching sessions almost instantly, and I’m expecting that this’ll result in becoming a better leader, at a faster pace.
