Summer holidays

Like last year, we spent the first night of our summer holidays in Oudtshoorn. This year, it coincided with our anniversary and we loved our stay at the Mooiplaas Guesthouse. Besides walking around a bit to look at the ostriches, we spent most of our time enjoying the refreshing pool in the scorching heat.

Then we continued to Sedgefield for our first camping trip in a few years. The campsite had many perks: a great and kid-friendly pool, the nice lake to swim in, very friendly and accommodating owners.

Then — after a night in Knysna — we went back to our favourite summer holiday destination: the SANParks Ebb & Flow site where we stayed at a rondawel. The community vibe and the river swimming there is unparallelled. We also finally got around to visiting the Redberry Farm in George, which the kids enjoyed.

Here are some pics of the holiday.

Is that a scorpion that got smashed in the frame of a door…? 😬

That it is. And it was the door of our cottage.
