Purpose-Driven Website: Workshop WordCamp Cape Town 2015

Today I went to my third WordCamp Cape Town. Two years ago I had never guessed that I would be working for WooThemes and Automattic as I am today and it was my absolute pleasure to share some of the basics of web design and structures to new and beginning users.

In sum these are things to consider:

  • Reason (content): What do you want to do?
  • Visitors: Who is it for?
  • Communication: How should you talk to them?
  • Relations: How can you connect it and generate traffic?
  • Shine: How can you improve?

Great talk Job. Though “basic” it is always important to review the purpose of your site as it evolves and the needs of those you aim to serve with / through it. Thanks for the effort, time and sharing your resources 😉

Great to always remember why you have a site and what you’re trying to achieve. This is even more important as you grow and your website / blog evolves together with those you serve with / through your website / blog…
