At the beginning of this year, the COVID-19 restrictions in South Africa included not being able to access public beaches, rivers, and dams. We had planned a two-week road trip which included many beaches and rivers, so we decided to postpone it.
Instead, we made a last-minute reservation to go to the smaller towns of Montagu and Robertson. Both are near where South Africa’s Karoo desert area starts, so by just driving a few hours from Cape Town, we entered a wholly different scenery. I finally edited those pics.
In true pandemic style, and because I forgot fire igniters, I used hand sanitiser to get the braai going.
