Saturdays are for hiking. I had never been to MacLean’s Beacon, the highest point on Table Mountain. That changed today when we went up via Kasteelspoort. Great experience to share with friends.

Belgium in winter; where even I get up early enough to see the sunrise.
On Monday, I started feeling sick en route to the live recordings of Extra Time, something I had been looking forward to a lot (the recordings, not the feeling sick). • My friend Jona was joking the whole time that I would projectile vomit all over Frank Raes, the presenter. “Friend” Jona. • But Frank’s neck remained dry and I didn’t embarrass myself on live TV, or even worse, in front of Michel Preud’Homme, one of the world’s best goalies ever. • I ended up having a good time and surviving the ride home as well. And then I got violently sick. • Worth it? I think so but I do hope I can go again with good health.
